David Kerekes Biographical Information
Born and raised in Manchester, DAVID KEREKES is a co-founder of Headpress and co-author of the books See No Evil and Killing for Culture. He is also author of Sex Murder Art and more recently Mezzogiorno, a meditation on life, death and southern Italy.
He edits and designs the Headpress journals and Headzines, and much of the product to emerge from Headpress.
David remembers vividly the first record albums he ever bought: Let It Be by the Beatles and Monster Mash by Bobby (Boris) Pickett and the Crypt-Kickers. Too young to fully appreciate one; too grown up to like much of the other.
In 2006, David Kerekes was asked to contribute to Detour, an international series of exhibitions organised by Moleskine, the Italian manufacturer of the splendid and expensive range of notebooks. Click here to see the notebook in action!
